Eschewing Socrates' ironic "ignorance'' on the subject of virtue, Aristotle confidently enumerates a list of "intellectual'' and "moral" excellences claiming that virtue is a set of unique dispositions, a state of character, a "knowing how to like and dislike the proper things" that makes a person good and leads ultimately to happiness. " (p. 80). Aristotle's answer to these questions, unlike Socrates', is that happiness results from the acquisition of particular virtues acquired through training, habituation, and lifelong character development.

I wouldn't even know where or how to begin to shape character or what morality to teach. Besides, aren't the school years too late in a child's life to start forming character?
